Working on some fall imagery I spent some time yesterday gathering different colored leaves with my wife and little daughter. My wife got bored after a little while, and my daughter tried to eat the leaves. So, in actuality, I was alone for much of the time searching for leaves.
I’ve been working on a couple of ideas to illustrate “fall” and haven’t had time to work on both, but got a head start on one last night after spending time collecting the leaves. I spent a few hours organizing the different leaves by color and then taping them up to my living room wall. I got everything starting to look as I wanted, and then went to sleep thinking I would just shoot some photos quickly and be done with it. Being fall, and the weather is still a little schizophrenic my wife turned the AC on halfway through the night. So when I woke up this morning, the majority of the leaves that I had put up on the wall had dried out and shriveled. Not so fun. So I spent some time trying to flatten the leaves back out again so that I could still salvage some decent imagery from my hard work. I got some ok shots, but am having to photoshop them rather heavily. I’ll post some more pics when I’m all finished, and have the final piece.
Here is a shot of the wall before going to sleep that I took on my iphone.

Cool! This is awesome.
Wow. This is really tempting to copy. I think some leaf hunting might be in order tomorrow.
Very nice. It sounds like this was a “well, you knew what I was when you married a designer” type of moment.
Ooooo. nice. Reminds me of Andy Goldsworthy’s work. He is still one of my favorite environmental artists.
