I was playing some more with the upside-down mountain range and wanted to get some thoughts. How do you feel it’s working without being masked in the triangle shape? Boring? Or better?
So, this is not a real project, but I’m sort of staging it like an album cover. The triangle one needs type, and the others could use some work too….
This one plays a bit more with the positive/negative shapes of the upside down image.

I love how the text creates an optical illusion. Very fun to look at.
I’m really digging the last one and how the type interacts a lot more with the intricacies of the image. Such a great and moody image.
Yep. That last one is gold.
These are beautiful and unsettling at the same time. They make me feel like I’m about to fall off a ledge, and I don’t know if I’ve ever had that reaction to an image. The last one is the best for sure. Listening to them now.
Thanks for the comments – you’ve motivated me to add this to my site.
Brad you should look up Emily Hope Price as well, she’s a friend in the band and does solo stuff with the cello – super talented.
Oh, I’ve chatted with Emily before. We have some mutual friends. I saw her video in the subway a while back, and it blew me away.
I also love the last one – I love the inversion… freaky.
Agree with all the above. I think the type treatment itself is also more interesting than the others.
