New mixtape that is getting released today. Someone, who shall remain nameless, was originally going to design this for the studio but never got around to it. We had the release of The Future mixtape cd last week, and hope to have The Past come out next week (Houston?..).
I wanted to make the cd look like a current trend that I’d joked about before for the Coop logo. Kind of poking fun at it and not doing it that well to play up the ridiculousness of it all. Oddly enough, some in the studio who have seen it have not gotten the joke…

Well, it’s nice to see that one of the three has made it to print so far. I was anxiously awaiting their debut when I was there.
Funny stuff, by the way. The purple hair is really a nice element.
Yeah, most of the mixtapes that I’ve done over the last year or so are because the original people that signed up for it didn’t get it done in time. So I end up doing them to keep the project going.
The purple hair is actually wild grass. I tweaked the image quite a lot to get the color correct. It’s funny though cause everyone has thought that it was hair. I guess purple hair is much more common than purple grass… Either way, it’s cool.
It is really cool!! (<<<—And I don't mean to discredit that first statement in any way with my next statement)…..but something about it looking like hair makes my skin crawl a little bit.
Still, awesome cover. You are such a Mr. Speedy Gonzalez, Stephen! I'm always amazed by how quickly you produce cool stuff.
