I’m working on a series of customizable Thank You postcards. So far these are getting a good response and I’m sure will gather more “hits” as the collection gets bigger. Plus, I’m enjoying these little, no pressure projects.
These are really nice. My favorite of the two is the one on top. I think it is a nice juxtaposition (that’s for you, Linda Sullivan) of a great old timey feel and contemporary imagery/layout. I bet these will be very successful. It’s a great idea.
What is the business structure for this type of thing? (You know I am always curious about such things) Do you just plug their info & photo into a template and then send it off to a digital printer?
The top is my fave too.
Yes, I’ve created a template for these. When the item gets purchased the customer is instructed to send their image and information to my email. I plug it in and make any image manipulations needed (in this case vintage coloring). They get to see a digital draft and then it goes to a printer.
I have other cards too that are non-customizable for less. For example, the chalkboard postcards I posted earlier: those are printed as is. So I have them readily available to ship in sets of 10. Kind of fun!
