Continuing on with my postcard project, here are a couple ready to use cards.
This got me off the computer and playing around with water and liquid calligraphy ink, which I then scanned as a black and white image and digitally colorized. The texture is subtle, but I like it, and used it in both designs.

These look great Anna. I know it is not a new idea, but I am a big sucker for the watercolor texture and color. I really like the drops around the stamp area on the first one. The color on the second one is really nice as well.
If I were to give any advice it would be to try and bring some of the watercolor bleed into the front type and design. It feels a bit too clean and I think adding some rougher edges and bleeding could be really nice.
That’s a great idea!…I’ve been staring at this for a few weeks now, knew it needed something but just couldn’t figure out what. *sigh—I love the co-op.
Like Micah, I’m drawn to the back of the first card immediately. I think the interaction between the drops of color is really interesting. The front of the first card is beautiful, but I agree it feels a bit too clean. Can’t fully put my finger on it.
The second one is also good, not reinventing the wheel, but a good execution. Love the colors. I’ve always liked those napkins.
Gorgeous postcards! I love the watercolor details. I would want them in every color and want to keep them all!
Thanks Chelsea, what a kind thing to say!
