Here is the final images from the new office mixtape for Big Sky Country. I veered from doing a traditional sleeve since the state shape is so unique and rectangle-ish. So overall, it may be slightly cumbersome, but the new format was fun to play with. Since this isn’t getting produced by anyone but me, who cares what format it’s in right. Always fun to experiment. I’m happy with how it turned out. It was a pain to cut out 45 of these…
Full view of the artwork.
Detailed images showing some more of the textures and colors.
This final image shows how the CD overlays the backing paper. The illustration of the buildings on the right are on the actual CD as well, and it rests on one of those rubber CD dots. Giving the effect that the CD is just part of the artwork. Some of the CDs have rather crap registration with the disk & backing paper, but whatever. Some turned out spot on!
This shows more how the CD and back interact (maybe). You can at least see the CD on top of the “sleeves.”
