So I’ve been working on updating my personal branding as I’ve needed to create an actual invoice for some freelance work. Not having done much freelance work on the side, at least the kind that actually pays, I’ve put off creating such documents and getting cards made, etc. Basically, I’m looking to become legit. I know big steps right…
With that in mind, I was playing around with my logo some more. I’ve liked the mark, but not been satisfied with how the logo could be extended to other applications. It was always nice in isolation, but never felt part of the whole. So I was messing about with it today and feel much better about it now. I worked it so that the overall mark is not quite so wide, but is also incorporated into the full “NumeroSeven” name. Nice how there’s an N at both ends eh? But with the minimized width, it feels more similar to the rest of the characters and not as excessively wide. I’m still working out what additional fonts to pair with this for the remaining information; my name, number, etc. I’ll most likely go with a sans serif as paring the rounding qualities of this may feel at odds with a serif.
So the idea is that when the name would appear as “NumeroSeven” you would see the word-mark on the left with the respective parts of the N logo in color, and if the logo is in isolation, it would be the N logo on the right.
I’m open to thoughts, suggestions, feelings on color. I’m not settled on a specific color, though my favorite is probably the teal or red option.

Hi Stephen. Very nice work! When the mark is shown by itself in isolation, I actually prefer it in two colors. I see the “sevens” better and the contrast makes is more interesting (just my opinion). For a support font (name, address, etc), perhaps, try something like Gotham Narrow? I like the cyan and red versions more than the pink and purple. The word numero sounds masculine and since 7′s are lucky. I think red, green or cyan. Hope this helps…
This is looking really clean and well executed. I love the concept and the isolated logo.
The full version is also good too, but I can’t help but think that it feels more corporate than representative of your really fun style. It’s still neutral enough that it could be pulled in all sorts of directions based on it’s environment, but by itself on white it’s rather serious. Maybe the base color needs to be a little further from black.
The Cyan is also my favorite of the colors shown. I wonder, though, if you really need a strict color pallet with this identity. I think you could get away with having it cater to its surroundings or even your mood at the time.
At first I wasn’t sure about repeating the split N at both ends of the name but it could have some cool motion graphics applications actually.
I can see what Micah is saying about the corporate-y feeling of it but it doesn’t really bother me and I think that I would be careful of getting to fun or playful with it.
Looks good. Prefer the cyan out of these options.
The N is married to the 7. Perfect. You’re done. Now, how to show that off in the most direct way. I like the N7 combo by itself. Working it into the actual logotype is a little less compelling. Twice in the logotype is like saying the punchline twice.
nice work.
